Deniz Cem Önduygu is a weak misanthrope and recluse who loves complex adaptive systems, philosophy of biology, memetics, philosophy of mind, art theory, typography and information design. He has a Master of Arts degree in Visual Arts & Visual Communication Design from Sabancı University where he worked as a teaching assistant and also took graduate level courses in biology. His research focuses on evolutionary design – an extract from his MA thesis is available here.
He works now as a visual communication designer independently and within the collective Fevkalade. He also takes part in Çilek Ağacı, working on data visualization with computer scientists.
Cem lives in Istanbul, feeds on large amounts of chocolate and enjoys writing about himself in the third person.
